In an increasingly multicultural Canada, a key ingredient for success is the ability to work effectively with people from all backgrounds. Atlantic Canada has in the last few decades undergone a serious transformation, with more and more people in the Region coming from different backgrounds. First languages commonly spoken now include English, French, Mi’kmaq, Arabic, German, Chinese, Dutch, Spanish, Tagalog, Persian, Mandarin, Polish, and more. We are working today with people who have different religious beliefs, are different ages, genders, and come from different communities than ourselves. No two people are the same.
