The Canadian Coast Guard is promoting its Officer Training Program at the Canadian Coast Guard College in Sydney, NS to interested aboriginal persons across Canada.
The Officer Training Program provides training in either Marine Engineering for persons interested in becoming Marine Engineers or Marine Navigation for those aspiring to become Navigators. The four-year officer training program is tuition free, pays a living allowance, offers room and board at no charge and grants a University degree in cooperation with Cape Breton University upon completion. Graduates are guaranteed a job with the Canadian Coast Guard.
