The IRS Commemoration Project, dedicated to honouring the Survivors of the Shubenacadie Indian Residential School and their families, has entered its final phase—Implementation and Commemoration. This significant project, led by the Mi’kmawey Debert Cultural Centre (MDCC) with the support of Executive Director Tim Bernard, Administrator Sheila Pierro-Tremblay, and the design team at the Studio of Ursula Johnson, Inc., is moving steadily toward completion.
