On September 17, 2020., 21 years after The Marshall Decision. The Sipekne’katik First Nation gathered in Digby Nova Scotia to exercise their right to earn a Moderate livelihood in the lobster industry.

It was truly a historic day, as it was a long time in the making. Many gathered to witness what will go down in history as Licenses and tags were issued to Mi’kmaw owned vessels and Captains.
