Mi’kmaq and Maliseet First Nations (MMFNs) operating fish processing plants in the Atlantic Region have had to make important adjustments since the outbreak of Covid-19. Deemed an essential food production service, these plants have continued to operate under difficult and challenging conditions for plant workers and management alike.
