Safety Advisors from the Safest Catch Program are ready, willing, and able to enhance the capacity of your fishing crew to harvest safely and make safe returns to shore to their families. The Safest Catch program, a completely free and optional safety mentoring service introduced on the east coast in 2013, continues to offer captains and crews additional advice on improving safety on their vessels at sea.

The Safest Catch program is available to all Mi’kmaq and Maliseet First Nation (MMFN) communities in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and the Gaspé Peninsula. Safety Advisors travel to your community and offer mentoring sessions to your crew on board your commercial vessels.
