The grade 5 students of Ms. Melissa Boyer’s class at Chief Harold Sappier Memorial Elementary School are the 2015-16 Champions of the annual ADI School Walking Challenge held during the month of November. Honourable mention goes out to Wulastukw Elementary in Kingsclear First Nation for giving it their all and having fun participating! November is Diabetes Month and the walking challenge is a fun and practical way for youth to be engaged in regular physical activity while learning about the need to live a healthy lifestyle in order to prevent diabetes.
