Kwe’. LSK is starting their 16th year, and the month of Wikumkewiku’s has been extremely busy. We are pleased to announce that we have a new principal in place. Her name is Kimberly Martin. I’ll let her tell you about herself…
As the daughter of Mr. Hubert “Yuppie Cool” Martin of Listuguj, QC, It is my pleasure to be the principal at L’nu Sipuk Kina’muokuom this year! This is my nineteenth year in the education field. Prior to becoming a principal, I had some leadership experiences including consulting teacher and assistant principal. Even with these amazing experiences, I will always be a teacher at heart. I share a home in Hammond Plains with my boyfriend, Craig Gray, a cat named Pepper and a dog named Baby.
I am blessed to be the mother of three young adults, Amgwesiwei, Ta’pit ag Sipu. They are the loves of my life. I have the same expectations for them as I do your children, I want to see them excel and become productive human beings, who have ample opportunity to become whatever they want to be.
It is my privilege to lead LSK and the many talented teachers and students here! My goal is to continue to provide a supportive climate and culture at LSK that is conducive to teaching and learning. By doing so, each individual student and teacher can experience growth to their highest potential.
