The Atlantic Policy Congress of First Nations Chiefs Secretariat (APC) hosted its 24th annual Fisheries Conference & Awards Banquet and Ceremony in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The conference was offered in a hybrid in-person/virtual format from 24-26 January 2023 at the Westin Nova Scotian and virtually via the RingCentral platform. The annual event is designed to touch on issues that affect the communal commercial fisheries for Atlantic First Nation communities. The conference was also able to host virtual participation, which allowed for a high level of engagement for sustainable economic opportunities.
