The Assembly of Nova Scotia Mi’kmaw Chiefs (Assembly) has been supporting work to advance the Cultural Tourism Strategy for the Mi’kmaq of Nova Scotia under four different pillars or priorities:

Mi’kmaq Leadership and Governance – engaging Mi’kmaw Chiefs and Councils, communities, the tourism sector and governments to facilitate sustainable tourism growth in Mi’kmaw communities.

Authenticity – to grow and strengthen the spaces and resources we have to create and recreate our own stories, guided and informed by our own expertise and experience.
