Well, it has been some time since I last had a chance to write for the MMNNews. We have been super busy here at school, what with Covid, staff leaving and new staff joining us. First and foremost, I must mention that our physical education teacher, Gordon Pictou, left us for another position. He was followed by our Tech Ed. teacher who managed to get his dream job. Bryan Brooks, our guidance counsellor, moved on to start his own business. We wish them all the best with their future endeavours and thank you all for being part of our team. We miss you all!!

With staff going, we have been fortunate to welcome some new staff, two of which have become full-time members of our school body. Lise Charbonneau is conducting the physical education classes. Adam Sweeney is filling in for grade 10 and Glenn Nightingale is now our Tech Ed. teacher. Welcome! The students are enjoying their classes, especially since Adam is teaching Guitar lessons as part of the high school curriculum. We are hoping to add archery sessions to our curriculum because Glenn is a certified instructor. Maybe I will break out my bow and join our students.

I know February is supposed to be the shortest month, but with all the Covid cases around, it has turned out to be the longest month. My appreciation has to be extended to our entire LSK staff. So many people have stepped up to the plate to volunteer their free time to sub or go wherever they are needed. We are working together to ...
