The Bay of Fundy watershed is home of the worlds highest tides and attracts tourist from around the world. These tides force their way up the Shubenacadie River providing activities for tourist and residents to participate in; tidal bore rafting, mud sliding, recreational Striped bass fishing, and you may see some commercial Gaspereau fishers out in a boat.
The Shubenacadie River flows 72km from Grand lake to Black Rock before entering the Cobequid Basin. Exiting at the other end of Grand lake is the Shubenacadie canal, which flows from Grand lake into Dartmouth cove on the Atlantic side of Nova Scotia. The Shubenacadie River system h ...
