As Mi’kmaq, we are defined by our language, our culture, our heritage, and our traditions. We learn through experience and the knowledge passed down from our Elders. We have a deep connection to the land and its many gifts, and to the places we inhabit. With a global pandemic forcing family and friends apart and a horrific act of violence tearing families to pieces, it has become more important than ever that we celebrate and honour who we are, where we have been and where we are going as a community.
