In the spirit of advancing reconciliation, Indigenous executives in the National Indigenous Fisheries Institute worked with Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) over the last two years to improve Indigenous programs, such as the Atlantic Integrated Commercial Fisheries Initiative (AICFI), through an extensive Indigenous Program Review (IPR).
