This is our final submission for the year. This year had many changes and exciting activities/events. During the month of May our middle and high school students were able to learn about bass fishing. Students attended the one-day workshop which included instruction on the different types of fish here in Nova Scotia, tagging (and what to do with the data of said tagged fish), rigging up their gear, casting, filleting and a lot of other useful information that they will need to know when they go fishing in Stewiacke. The second day was dedicated to a full day of bass fishing. Students had a lot of fun and won some nice prizes. Only downside to that activity was the fact that I couldn’t go!!
