The 2019 NS Education Week Awards acknowledge educators, school support staff and partners for their outstanding work relative to the Education Week theme: Inclusive Education – helping our students and children succeed. CCRCE educators and school support staff who have gone above and beyond in providing inclusive supports to students, make them feel welcomed, appropriately challenged, and supported in their efforts were recognized during the award ceremony in Dartmouth.

Congratulations to Tammy Maloney as this is a new role, Tammy has developed much of her program. While doing this, she looks at many ways to engage our students in carious aspects of their school day. She takes the time to know each child and build individual relationships.

Tammy instinctively knows when to challenge a student or pull a student aside to give encouragement or support. She has become an integral part of our school staff. She not only helps support students but helps teachers by providing information or resources they may need to support students further.
