The Nova Scotia Bursary Program Promoting Cultural Representation in Early Childhood Education began in 2018 and has been extended to the 2019-2020 year. Many students have benefited from the financial support this bursary provided to help with tuition costs and textbooks.

Laura Oingonn is a first-year student in the Early Childhood Education program at NSCECE in Halifax. Laura comes from Rankin Inlet, Nunavut and is currently living in Halifax, she shares her story below.
