Hello and welcome back to Shirley’s Corner for another fall and winter session of the ups and downs and the crazy stuff in between. Last week Buddie and Nitap invited me out to lunch at their hang out, the Membertou Market. Well, there was a time I thought that this was going to be the end of our friendship actually several times but you know things always turn out a o kay; sure, we get on each others nerves but don’t we all have friends like that. I suppose it helps to keep my sanity in check and being a writer I can pretty well get away with just about anything. I think!

The one thing I’ve noticed about these two long time friends, they are very loyal to each other as you may have seen last week when Buddie gave Nitap a hard time over something totally uncalled for. Did you notice how they both retaliated towards me for trying to defend one from the other? Now that’s what I call best of friends.

En a ways let’s get back to the Market to see what happened that day. Where were we? Awe, yes, being introduced to the mysterious voice behind the phone.

Buddie: Gabbie, meet a good friend of mine, Matt Minglewood.

However Gabbie was still flabbergasted and star struck.

Buddie: Matt, this is our writer lady, Gabbie.

Pulling Matt closer to ear shot.

Buddie: You don’t want to get mixed up with the likes, she’s a little weird, a few lose cannons I’ll have you know.
