On November 24th, after more then 10 months after the first fundraising draw, the Joker was finally caught in Eskasoni. Desiree Milos Marshall who was in Halifax at the time was the lucky name drawn by Junior Joe (who didn’t purchase a ticket) from nearly 15,000 tickets and then followed it up by picking the joker with the first pick from eight remaining cards.
In front of a crowd of more then 300 people live in Eskasoni and more then a 1,000 people who viewed the draw live on Facebook from across the Atlantic, Catch the Joker fundraiser finally came to an exciting end. The spin off from the popular “Chase the Ace” game instead gave lucky winners the chance to draw one of two jokers within a deck.
