Meet your newly elected Youth Chief, Montana Marshall! She was recently elected by her peers during an election held at Sydney Academy on Friday, September 30.

Montana is only in her second year of Membertou Youth Chief & Council (MYCC), but has already experienced a lot. This past summer, she represented the MYCC (with Youth Chief Julian Marshall) at the Assembly of First Nations conference in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

This year, Youth Chief Montana will be joined by returning members including: Salena Sylvester, Keegan Christmas, Blake Christmas, Ethan Paul, Dana Joe, Fiath Francis, and Reannah LaPorte.

Salena, this year’s Summer Games Queen, also ran for Youth Chief. She is a third year member along with Keegan, Blake and Dana. Ethan and Reannah are both two-year members.
