Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Membertou, Nova Scotia

Position Overview: Reporting to the Union of Nova Scotia Indians (UNSI) Executive Director and the UNSI Board of Directors, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible to oversee the day-to-day accounting and financial operation of the UNSI. The CFO upholds the integrity and mandate of the UNSI Board of Directors by maintaining the financial records and books of the UNSI in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and/or CICA standards including cash flow management; bank reconciliation; account receivables and payables; payroll; government remittances; budget preparation and analysis; monthly and annual financial reporting of revenue and expenditures; and year end audit preparation.
