Nova Scotia – Dwight Dorey, a Mi’kmaq from Nova Scotia is pleased to announce his candidacy in the upcoming election for the National Chief of the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples.
Over the past 30 years, Mr. Dorey has focused his efforts on advancing Aboriginal Peoples rights and by promoting more opportunities in both education and business for Aboriginal Peoples.
Dwight represented off-reserve Aboriginal Peoples in Nova Scotia as an elected Provincial Chief. He also served as the National Chief of the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples from 2000 until 2006.
