The thriving Millbrook First Nation is located in the “hub of Nova Scotia” within the Town of Truro. The Mi’kmaw community of 1700 band members (850 living within the community) well known for its economic development accomplishments is in the process of developing its commercial fishery. The most recent piece of the puzzle that the First Nation has put in place is the construction of a new building to house its commercial fisheries operation.
Completed in 2013, the new fisheries headquarters was an enormous improvement over the old, dingy, unsanitary and unhealthy office they had before. ...
