With work getting underway on the Maritime Link, Emera Utility Services (EUS) is working with the Mi’kmaw Economic Benefits Office of Nova Scotia (MEBO) to add to its workforce. EUS has been working with MEBO for several years as it fills its workforce needs. EUS, MEBO and the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) teamed up to put on a Career Day for Nova Scotia Mi’kmaq interested in the Power Line Laborer Program.
