Calling on Communities to Support our Sma’knis
Between 1914 and 1918, over 70 – fathers, husbands, grandfathers enlisted to fight in the Great War. From small Mi’kmaw communities through Nova Scotia, Bernard, Brooks, Francis, Gloade, Herney, Paul, Wilmot were a few of the family names who represented a little over 2000 Nova Scotia Mi’kmaq as our contribution to the war.
