The family of the late Grand Chief(s) Denny will be having their 2nd annual family gathering on July 19th & 20th, 2014 at the Eskasoni pow wow grounds.  This year the family will celebrate the Legacy of the Si Denny’s through story telling, barbecue, family feast, fire works and more importantly planning for the 100th anniversary of John Denny Junior’s passing which is only four years away in 2018.  This will ignite celebrations in honouring the late Grand Chiefs of the Si Denny clan and the generational/descendant holders of the prestigious title.  Planning for this huge celebration is now underway, for more information please contact Mary Jane Sanipass, Newell Johnson-Bernard, Sheldon “Mooney” Francis, Freda Bernard, Joe Denny – Grand Chief Denny committee.
