The Mi’kmaq – Nova Scotia – Canada Tripartite Forum currently has four Working Committee meetings scheduled for March 2014. All Tripartite Forum Working Committee meetings begin at 10:00 a.m. (unless specified) and are open to anyone in the community who wishes to attend as a guest observer.
The working committee meeting dates are:
- Education Working Committee on Tuesday, March 4, at the Fisheries and Wildlife Commission (4115 Shore Road) in Eskasoni, NS;
- Health Working Committee on Thursday, March 6, at the Membertou Trade & Convention Centre in Membertou, NS;
- Justice Working Committee on Tuesday, March 18, at the Wagmatcook Culture and Heritage Centre in Wagmatcook, NS; and
- Sport and Recreation Working Committee on Friday, March 21, in Wagmatcook, NS. A venue has not been determined yet so please visit the website or contact the administrator for more information.
It is important that interested persons visit the Tripartite Forum homepage calendar for information as meeting locations and venues can change for a variety of reasons.
Please note that although Tripartite Forum Working Committee meetings are open to community members, you must first RSVP with the Forum’s Administrators, Denise Gloade and Chantelle Larocque. Denise administers the Culture and Heritage, Education, Justice, and Sports and Recreation Committees. Chantelle administers the Economic Development, Health, and Social Committees. Guests are also advised that if you choose to attend a meeting as an observer that any travel-related expenses will not be compensated by the Tripartite Forum.
