The Paqtnkek CBU communication class has had the honour of hosting several events in the community. One of which is the 3rd Annual Sports Banquet held on November 25, 2013 in the Paqtnkek community Gymnasium. John R. Prosper said the opening prayer for this event. The banquet was emceed by Councillor Trevor Gould.
