The First ever Potlotek Youth Moose Camp was a huge success!
Potlotek’s 1st Annual Youth Moose camp was a successful one with three moose that were harvested which will be cut and wrapped and given to the community of Potlotek. Congrats to Caleb, John Michael and Kent for getting their first moose! All of the youth enjoyed themselves and had a great time in the CB Highlands. All of the youth participated in the gutting, skinning and quartering of the animals that were harvested.
I would like to thank Chief and Council for approving this year’s camp. A special thanks goes out to Chief Wilbert for participating in this year’s camp and for helping out. A very big thank you to Craig Doucette, Brian Johnson and Richard Johnson for helping watching and guide our youth with the daily hunting travels out into the wilderness and for teaching our future generations on how to hunt and how to field dress an animal. I’m sure those memories will last forever and hopefully we’ll see each and every one of you again next year. Once again, thanks again to everyone who participated in this year’s successful camp.
