As part of the celebrations, Dr. Elsie Charles Basque had the opportunity to blow out the candles to recognize her 97th birthday. On hand for the special occasion were Indian Brook Chief Rufus Copage, Acadia Chief Deborah Robinson, Glooscap Chief Sidney Peters, CMM Executive Director Don Julien, Bear River Chief Frank Meuse and presenting the cake was Elsie’s daughter Marty.< ...
