Mi’kmaq Maliseet Nations News’ (MMNN) former columnist, Dr. Randolph (Randy) Bowers has just published a re-make of the Eagle Medicine Column. The column that originally appeared in the MMNN 2007-2009 editions. People will remember the column by its focus on Mi’kmaq culture, spirituality, health, and wellness. The new book provides an updated and edited version, using a three year cycle of readings based around the Mi’kmaq moon cycles. As a companion to personal growth, or to discuss within small groups, or in a school learning context, this book provides a great window into traditional and contemporary Mi’kmaq cultural values.
