Early Childhood Intervention is a service that is available to children, and families of children, who have a developmental delay or are at risk for having a developmental delay. Early Intervention is available to children who already have a diagnosis such as Autism or Down syndrome, children who have developmental delays without a diagnosis and to children who are at risk for having a developmental delay because they were born premature; there was trauma during the birth or those who have an immediate family member with a learning challenge.
