November 17, MADD Cobequid hosted their annual Project Red Ribbon campaign in Millbrook. This was the first time the kickoff was hosted in a First Nation community in Atlantic Canada. Project Red Ribbon is designed to raise public awareness of the importance of sober driving and to honour the victims of this violent crime. Every year, between 1,250 and 1,500 Canadians are killed and more than 63,000 injured in impaired driving crashes.
