Gratitude, humility, and the power of a simple act of kindness are some of the unforgettable lessons and values that resonated with LSK Mi’kmaw Language elementary teacher Curtis Michael during his recent trip to the empire of hidden treasures; the beautiful country of Peru.
This past October, Curtis and his family traveled to the South American country for three weeks to familiarize students and staff of the small village elementary school, Lares School, with the Mi’kmaw culture and language. Curtis also conceived a “Sister School” agreement between LSK and Lares School during his stay.
