Mi’kmaq coach Jason (Jay) Peters will be receiving the Special Merit Award during the Basketball New Brunswick Service Awards on September 29th. Peters was nominated by the New Brunswick Aboriginal Sport and Recreation Authority, Coach NB & Bayside Middle School for the nomination. The BNB Special Merit Award is presented to an individual who have gone above and beyond for the sport of basketball in areas such as organizing, managing, coaching, developing and promoting in their communities and province wide.
