“Outstanding! After 30 years of summer games. We finally got it right!” were the words Chief Rod Googoo of Waycobah used to summarize the Nova Scotia Mi’kmaw Summer Games held in Eskasoni.
The Mi’kmaw Summer Games which were recently held in Eskasoni from August 21-26, 2012, will go down in history as being one of the best summer games ever. Record number of athletes, fans and the community of Eskasoni came out in droves to compete, support and cheer on their home town athletes, young and old.
